The Bible says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."  (Romans 3:23) That means everyone of us has wrestled with things that come between us and God.

Sin has to be Dealt With
The Bible says, "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) That means until all of us are honest about the way we live our lives and are willing to live according to God’s way, we’ll never truly be happy.

Jesus is the Answer
The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (I John 1:9) That means if you have felt the struggle of your sins and sensed the need to do something about them, Jesus is ready to help you.

How do I ask Him into my life?
You need to pray. The Bible says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)  That means you are willing to believe that Jesus is for real.  That God’s Son truly died for your sins on the cross and that you believe He lives again ready to enter your heart.

What do I pray?
Lord Jesus, I need you. I’ve made a mess of my life and done all kinds of things wrong. Forgive me of my sins. Come into my life and make me a brand new child of God. Thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for being the Lord of my life. AMEN!

Now what?
Tell somebody.  Tell your family. Tell your friends. Tell your pastor. Then get into the habit of reading your Bible everyday. Start with the gospel of John. Learn more about who Jesus is and all that He wants to do in your life. When you finish John, get into Philippians and learn the power behind your faith.  You have embarked on a great adventure.
